Enabling data entry confirmation for selected fields in the application increases data accuracy for fields that contain essential client and firm data, such as EIN/SSN numbers, bank account numbers, taxpayer PINs, and so forth.

To confirm the accuracy of data entry, the application prompts you to re-enter the field value for any field that is marked in the Data Entry Confirmation Entries dialog.

Enabling data entry confirmation

  1. Choose Setup > Firm Information > Firm.
  2. In the Preferences tab, click the Ellipsis button button next to Select fields that require confirmation.
  3. Mark the checkbox for each field that you want to require re-entry for confirmation, and then click OK.
