Important reminder!

Licenses for Payroll CS, Trial Balance CS, and Write-Up CS (but not Engagement CS) permanently expired on March 1, 2017. CSA will not include 2017 tax rates or payroll forms, so, for 2017 and beyond, you will need to process payroll in another application. We recommend Accounting CS Payroll and myPay Solutions. For more information, see the following topics.

The following procedure applies to clients using CBS PayCheck.

These tables are also used in CSA. Changes made via Accountant's Assistant will affect all of your CSA clients. Also note that clients can view but not edit these tables in their CBS PayCheck application.

If you need to make updates to the federal tax table, obtain the appropriate figures from Circular E and follow the steps below.

  1. In Accountant's Assistant, choose Setup > PayCheck Tax Information > Federal.
  2. In the Federal Tax Information dialog, click the Tables button.
  3. In the Federal Tax Tables dialog, enter the values from Circular E in the appropriate fields.
  4. Click the Enter button to save the changes you have made.
  5. Click the Done button to close the Federal Tax Tables dialog.
  6. Click the Done button to close the Federal Tax Information dialog.

If you need to update the state tax tables, continue to the next step.

  7. Generate a Transfer Disk for your client to update the tax tables in CBS. For more information on generating a Transfer Disk, click here.
