When setting up a new Write-Up CS client, you will need to complete certain fields in the File > New Client dialog to provide required information.

General Information tab
In the General Information tab of the File > New Client dialog, enter the client's name, payroll report name, DBA, address, phone number, EIN, salutation for transmittal letters, and security password. This tab also includes a checkbox to mark if the client will be using Client Bookkeeping Solution (CBS).

General Ledger tab
In the General Information tab of the File > New Client dialog, specify the Chart of Accounts mask, the processing periods, years of balances and transactions to save, the reference to use for deposits, the starting check number, the balancing entry reference, whether multiple journals are to used for transaction entry, and the entity type.

Payroll tab
In the Payroll tab of the File > New Client dialog, specify the following information:

  • current period ending date
  • payroll report options
  • payroll tax form defaults
  • information for each state in which the client employs any workers

You may also specify information for form printing fees and whether third-party sick pay processing is applicable for the client.
