Using client notes in CSA

You may occasionally want to make notes to yourself or to another CSA user within your firm about the client or the client data. For example, you may want to remind yourself about tasks to complete or to follow up with the client about a particular question or special issue. Use the Client Note dialog to record, format, and view or print one note of unlimited size for the open client.

Users of Practice CS: If your firm is licensed for the Client Management module of Practice CS, you can view CSA client notes from Practice CS. The setup and formatting steps you'll need to follow are contained in the CSA help topic called Sharing client notes with the Practice CS Client Management module.

Creating a client note

  1. From the CSA main window, choose Edit > Client Note.
  2. Enter your text in the Client Note pane.
  3. Use the menu commands and the toolbar buttons at the top of the dialog to format the fonts, paragraphs, and tab settings as desired.
  4. To save the client note, click OK.

Printing a client note

To print the note for the selected client, click the /_images/acct_pr/csa/prnrpt.gif button on the toolbar.

Modifying or deleting a client note

  • To delete a portion of the note, open the Client Note dialog, highlight the text to delete, and press the DELETE button on your keyboard.
  • To delete the entire note, open the Client Note dialog and click the Delete Note button.
