Use the Disconnect to Email Recipient feature in Engagement CS to disconnect Word or Excel workpapers and PDF files from the Trial Balance CS client data in CSA. This allows Engagement CS users to share workpapers and PDFs with clients, client's vendors, and other staff members that do not have the application installed. The disconnected items can be edited, formatted, and signed by non-Engagement CS users, and returned to you to be reconnected and updated in the engagement at a later time.
Choose Tasks > Disconnect to > Email. recipient
Note: The disconnect > reconnect feature in Engagement CS provides a dynamic workpaper or PDF that can be reconnected into an active engagement. You can use FileCabinet CS to provide static copies of engagement workpapers or documents if you do not intend for them to be updated or reconnected into the application.
Special information
- Staff members can only disconnect workpapers and PDFs that are available to them with read/write access privileges.
- You can choose Edit > Undo Disconnect to make selected Word, Excel workpapers, or PDFs available again in the engagement.
