You can add review notes to a document that can be viewed in the Review notes window of the Engagement CS workspace. These notes can be replied to, cleared, reviewed, or deleted by a reviewer or another preparer of the engagement.

Sticky Notes

When you finish entering the text for a review note in the Review Notes dialog, you can choose whether or not you want to add a sticky note to the current document.

A sticky note is a flag that you can move and place directly on a specific area of a document that is open in the Document View window. It conveniently points to the item that the content of the Review Note explains in detail.

Unsigned Program Steps

You can print and Unsigned Program Steps Report to verify that all program steps have been reviewed for PPC documents.

Workflow in the field

Engagement CS provides an efficient work cycle that flows from the Master Client Data (MCD) to the Local Client Data (LCD), between staff in the field, and then back to the MCD. Some of the following tasks that staff member(s) working in the field are responsible for are:

• Receiving transfer files from the MCD.
• Completing engagement work that is assigned, including signing off on all workpapers and documents, providing notes to the reviewer.
• Reassigning workpapers in the field and sending updated engagement data to other staff in the field via a transfer file.
• Providing a transfer file for receipt by the staff in charge of the MCD.
• Synchronizing engagement files when necessary.
