The Financial Statement Editor toolbar provides convenient formatting tools at your fingertips. The following illustrations show the Financial Statement Editor toolbar and describe each button and its function.

Toolbars & buttons
Button | Function |

Opens a new, blank statement. | |
Opens the Open Client Statement dialog in which you select a statement for editing. Only one statement may be open at a time. | |
Saves any changes you have made to the statement. | |
Checks for errors in the statement and displays an report on screen listing all errors. | |
Prints the statement to the selected printer. To select the printer, from the CSA main window choose File > Print Reports. | |
Opens the Print Preview window where you can view the statement as it will appear when printed. | |
Cuts the highlighted text and places it in the clipboard. | |
Copies the highlighted text and places it in the clipboard. | |
Pastes the text from the clipboard at the point where the cursor is located. | |
Opens the Insert Chart dialog in which you specify the type of chart, data definition and chart properties. The chart will be inserted where the cursor is located. | |
Takes back the previous action. | |
Repeats the last action that you "undid." | |
Toggles between row mode and cell mode. | |
Activates Row mode. | |
Activates Cell mode. | |
Freezes Row Heights. Acts as an on > off toggle to adjust row heights. Click the left mouse button on the horizontal row border and drag the border up or down. | |
Adds a row to the bottom of the statement. | |
Inserts a row above the row in which the cursor is located. | |
Deletes the row in which the cursor is located. | |
Toggles bolding on and off. You can click this button, type the text, and click the button again to turn bolding off; or you can highlight the text you wish to change, and click this button. | |
Toggles italics on and off. You can click this button, type the text, and click the button again to turn italics off; or you can highlight the text you wish to change, and click this button. | |
Toggles regular text underline on and off. You can click this button, type the text, and click the button again to turn the underline off, or you can highlight the text you wish to change, and click this button to underline the text. | |
Toggles accountant's underline on and off. Highlight the amount you wish to change, and click this button. | |
Toggles accountant's double underline on and off. Highlight the amount you wish to change, and click this button. | |
Toggles on and off the fixed dollar sign in the financial statement. You may also choose Format > Cells to open the Format Cells dialog. In the Number tab select Floating $, Fixed $, or Standard % from the drop-down list. | |
Left justifies the contents of the selected cell(s). This alignment is the default. | |
Centers the contents of the selected cell(s). | |
Right justifies the contents of the selected cell(s). | |
Reduces the indentation of the text in the row or cell in which the cursor is located. | |
Indents all of the text in the row or cell in which the cursor is located. | |
Merges the selected cells into one, single cell and centers any text in the new, merged cell. | |
Exits from the Financial Statement Editor. |
