For Accounts, Storage Name, or Totals row types in a financial statement.
If the row(s) define a formula or range of accounts in the Amounts field, you may assign a storage name for that formula or range so that you will not have to redefine it if you need to use it again later within the same statement.
- To save a new storage name that defines a selected formula or range of accounts, simply type a name or short description in the Storage Name field of the Row Properties box for an Accounts, Storage Name, or Totals row type.
- To retrieve a stored formula or range of accounts into the Row Properties > Amounts field of an Accounts or Totals row, either type the storage name or select it from the list of existing storage names in the Edit > Formula dialog.
- To define and save a formula using two or more storage names, enter the formula in the Row Properties box and save that formula under a new storage name.
- To view a report listing all existing storage names (with formulas) defined for the selected statement within the Financial Statement Editor, choose Utilities > Diagnotics > Storage Name Listing.
