The ATB Client Information File is Missing or may be Corrupted

You receive the following error message after selecting the Import button in the Accountant's Trial Balance Conversion dialog:

The ATB Client Information File is missing or may be corrupted.  Verify that you are able to open the client in ATB.

There are two possible causes for the error:

  1. The client ID in the Open Client List in ATB for Windows does not match the Company Number on the Name tab of Tools > Company Master in ATB. To correct the problem, open the client in ATB and choose File > Save As. Give the client a unique new ID of 8 characters or less. The new client ID should now appear in the conversion dialog.
  2. The client ID in ATB for Windows is more than 8 characters. To correct the problem, open the client in ATB and choose File > Save As. Give the client a unique new ID of 8 characters or less. The new client ID should now appear in the conversion dialog.

Client not Appearing in the Client List of Companies to Convert

After entering in the correct data location in the Accountant's Trial Balance Conversion dialog, the ATB client does not appear in the Client to Import drop-down list.

ATB Conversion Generates an Access Violation in MFC42.DLL or in COACMN.DLL

When converting from ATB for Windows, the following error is generated:

Error C0000005 (Access Violation) occurred at address 73DD4045 (00003045 relative) in module C:\WINDOWS\System32\MFC72.dll

You may also get an Access Violation in module X:\WinCSI\CSA\coacmn.dll

These errors occur if the ATB for Windows client was converted from ATB DOS and has a year end date of "190x" (ATB DOS was not Y2K compliant.). To avoid this error, you need to change the year end date to the correct year in ATB for Windows, prior to converting.
