Typically, the MICR line is missing or is blank on checks after CSA has been updated or a new Desktop setup was completed on the workstation. Save any work you have in progress, close all of your applications, and restart your computer. Test print a check after restarting, and continue with the steps below if the MICR line still isn't printing.

If the MICR line still does not print after restarting the computer, the conflict could be due to a damaged MICR font file. Follow the steps below to replace the MICR font file on the computer:

1. Click on the Windows Start menu and choose Control Panel.
2. Open the Fonts folder.
3. Delete the font files named CSI MICR E13B Normal or CSI MICR E13B V2.
4. Re-run the Desktop Setup for Creative Solutions Accounting.
5. Restart the computer.

If the MICR line still does not print, try the following steps:

Verify the check layout has the MICR Line variable and it is the proper length:

1. Choose Setup > Checkbook and then click the Check Layout Information tab. Note the name of the Payroll Layout.
2. Choose Setup > System Configuration > Layout Editor.
3. Choose Layout > Open and select your check layout.
4. Make sure the MICR Line variable is listed and that it is expanded across the width of the page.

Change the setting for Use Advanced Printing Features for your printer:

1. Click on your Windows Start button and choose Printers.
2. Right-click on your printer and choose Properties.
3. Click the Advanced tab and change the setting for the Enable advanced printing features check box - if it is marked, clear it; if it is cleared, mark it.
