When installing the desktop setup on a network, it is possible to receive messages regarding missing Windows Redistributable packages. These message(s) mean the following Microsoft Redistributable packages are missing, or the existing files have become damaged and the application installation cannot continue:

  • Windows cannot find C:\WinCSI\CSA\Desktop\VC2013\vcredit_x86.exe = Visual C++ Redistributable Packages for Visual Studio 2013.
  • Windows cannot find C:\WinCSI\CSA\Desktop\VC2008SP1\vcredist_x86.exe = Microsoft Visual C++ 2008 SP1 Redistributable Package (x86).

You may also receive the following similar error:

  • Could not execute the external program C:\WinCSI\CSa\Desktop\VC2013\vcredit_x86.exe = Visual C++ Redistributable Packages for Visual Studio 2013.

Verify you have the following folders by browsing out to your Creative Solutions Accounting installation path. If Creative Solutions Accounting is installed on your server and mapped to the X drive, you would browse to the following locations:

  • X:\WinCSI\CSA\Desktop\VC2013.
  • X:\WinCSI\CSA\Desktop\VC2008SP1.

If you have the folders VC2013 and VC2008SP1 listed above, delete the files inside each folder.

If the folders X:\WinCSI\CSA\Desktop\VC2013 and X:\WinCSI\CSA\Desktop\VC2008SP1 are missing, create new folders in WinCSI\CSA\Desktop directory.

Download and save the appropriate Redistributable Package from Microsoft’s website into the following folders:
