Important reminder!

Licenses for Payroll CS, Trial Balance CS, and Write-Up CS (but not Engagement CS) permanently expired on March 1, 2017. CSA will not include 2017 tax rates or payroll forms, so, for 2017 and beyond, you will need to process payroll in another application. We recommend Accounting CS Payroll and myPay Solutions. For more information, see the following topics.

Payroll Compliance module

The data sharing features of the CS Professional Suite applications automatically share general data (such as a client's name, address, and EIN or TIN) for all clients. They also enable you to automatically share most data from W-2s and 1099-Rs from CSA with UltraTax CS/1040 when processing a 1040 client with a matching SSN / TIN.

Notes

  • CSA will share with UltraTax CS certain data from the W-2 and from the 1099-R (including name, street, city, and state), for all federal tax entities.
  • CSA will share financial data with UltraTax CS/1040 only from one W-2 or 1099-R per taxpayer. If a taxpayer is issued more than one W-2 or 1099-R from the same CSA client, only the last W-2 or 1099-R that was processed will be shared.
  • To view pending updates to a client's data in UltraTax CS, choose Data Sharing from the UltraTax CS Utilities menu.
  • In UltraTax CS, you can choose to disable automatic data sharing for a single client or for all clients.
  • For additional information, please search on Datashare:overview of data sharing from the Index tab of the UltraTax CS Help Topics dialog.
