Important reminder!

Licenses for Payroll CS, Trial Balance CS, and Write-Up CS (but not Engagement CS) permanently expired on March 1, 2017. CSA will not include 2017 tax rates or payroll forms, so, for 2017 and beyond, you will need to process payroll in another application. We recommend Accounting CS Payroll and myPay Solutions. For more information, see the following topics.

When you are ready to prepare the form, complete the following steps.

Form G-7

You can create, preview, or delete Georgia electronic withholding files or remove individual clients from a file using the Creative Solutions Accounting application. Prior to creating your electronic files, the appropriate e-file information must be entered into the Georgia Supplemental Information dialog.

  1. Choose Utilities > Payroll Tax Processing.
  2. In the Payroll Tax Processing window, click the Georgia flag icon in the shortcut bar.
  3. Choose Setup > Supplemental Information.
  4. In the Supplemental Information dialog, click the W/H File tab and enter the appropriate information in the General, Credits, and Payment Info groupboxes.
  5. Click OK to save the information.
  6. When you are ready to prepare the form, choose File > Print when the Payroll Tax Processing window is active.
  7. Mark the Create G-7 file checkbox and then click OK. The application creates the comma-delimited file and stores it in the \CSASys\MagMedia\yyyy\Qn subfolder where the application files are located. The file is named G7.xxxx,where xxx represents your user ID.

    Example: c:\wincsi\csasys\MagMedia\2007\Q1\

Note: When the files are created, they are automatically encrypted for security and stored in the \CSASys\MagMedia\yyyy\Qn subfolder. Before submitting these files to the appropriate agency, you must use the Save to Submittable Format command, at which point the files are decrypted. Using the Restore from Submittable Format option will encrypt the files once again. You can use the preview function to view the decrypted file.

  8. Choose File > G-7 File Utilities to do any of the following:
    • Combine Files
    • Preview File
    • Remove Client
    • Save to Submittable Format
    • Restore from Submittable Format
  9. Select File > G-7 File Utilities > Save to Submittable Format. Choose the appropriate file location and click OK.
  10. If the checkbox to create a payment file is marked on the W/H File tab of the Supplemental Information dialog, choose File > G-7 Payment File Utilities > Save to Submittable Format. Specify the location and click OK.

We support only third-party/bulk e-filing for withholding. If you need to register as a third party or bulk filer, visit http://gataxinfo.org for further information.
