Licenses for Payroll CS, Trial Balance CS, and Write-Up CS (but not Engagement CS) permanently expired on March 1, 2017. CSA will not include 2017 tax rates or payroll forms, so, for 2017 and beyond, you will need to process payroll in another application. We recommend Accounting CS Payroll and myPay Solutions. If you receive an Indiana merit rate output file, you may also receive a text file from the State of Indiana that lists corrections to the merit rate information for your clients. This file may contain error messages which are explained here.

#1. Invalid FEIN number
Input FEIN is blank, is equal to zero, or is not numeric.

#2. FEIN not found
No FEIN exists in the database, and the input FEIN is blank.

#3. No match on state employer account number - Found FEIN which has state account 999999XX
The FEIN exists in the database, but the populated SUTA ID was not found.

#4. Mismatch on FEIN > State account - FEIN 99-9999999 has state account 999999XX - State account 999999XX has FEIN 99-9999999
The FEIN and SUTA rate both exist in the database, but are assigned to different employers.

#5. FEIN not found - Matching state account 999999XX has FEIN 99-9999999
The SUTA ID exists in the database but no FEIN is assigned to the employer.

#6. Employer account 999999XX in XXXXXXXX status - Successor state account is 999999XX
The FEIN and SUTA ID exist in the database but the employer's status is Void and Transferred as the result of a complete acquisition or disposal. The successor's account number is provided in the message.

#7. Employer account 999999XX in XXXXXXXX status - Multiple partial successors involved
The FEIN and SUTA ID exist in the database but the employer's status is Void and Transferred. Multiple partial successors are involved.

#8. Employer account 999999XX in XXXXXXXX status
The FEIN and SUTA ID exist in the database but the employer's status is not active or is listed as Void and Transferred.

#9. Multiple FEIN matches - FEIN 99-9999999 matched accounts 999999XX, 999999XX, 999999XX, 999999XX
The input FEIN field is populated but the SUTA ID field is not. Multiple FEINs exist for this state account number.

#10. Mismatch on FEIN > State - State account 999999XX has FEIN 99-9999999 - FEIN 99-9999999 has multiple state accounts
The FEIN and SUTA ID fields are populated but do not match. Multiple state accounts exist for this FEIN.

#11. Merit rate for requested year not calc'ed
The merit rate for the requested year does not exist within the output file.

#12. FEIN not found and employer account not found
Neither the FEIN nor the SUTA ID exists in the database.
