CSA annualizes withholdings, meaning that it multiplies the wage amount by the frequency (for example, 26 for bi-weekly pay periods) and uses the estimated annual wages to calculate the annual withholding amount. This annual withholding amount is then divided by the frequency in order to determine the appropriate withholding amount for each check.
