In the Tax Withholdings & Deductions tab of the Employees window, choose the payroll items that are relevant to the selected employee (or review/modify the information automatically pulled from the data-entry template chosen for the employee).

  • The first four lines of the grid already include tax withholding items for FICA-SS, FICA-Med, Federal withholding, and State withholding.
  • You may choose any additional tax withholding or deduction items that are appropriate for the selected employee. Select each payroll item and description, and then select the GL account appropriate for each item. Also choose the preferred order for calculating and listing these items on the paycheck stub.
  • Click the /_images/acct_pr/csa/details.gif button for a tax withholding item or for a deduction item to enter or modify additional employee-level information for that item. (Exception: Neither the FICA-SS nor the FICA-Med withholding item can be modified at the employee level.)
