You can choose to have the application automatically use whole dollar rounding when calculating withholdings, SDI, or SUI. If you choose whole-dollar rounding, pennies of 49 cents or less will round down and pennies of 50 cents or greater will round up during check entry.

To use whole-dollar rounding for a selected client:

  1. From the CSA main menu (with the client open) choose File > Client Properties.
  2. Click the Calculating Payroll tab.
  3. Mark any of the applicable checkboxes in the Whole dollar rounding group box. For example, if you want to use whole dollar rounding for Federal withholding, mark the Federal W/H checkbox.
  4. Click the OK button to save your changes and close the Client Properties dialog.

To use whole-dollar rounding only for a selected state or local withholding:

  1. From the CSA main menu, choose Setup > System Configuration > Payroll Tax Information and then choose either State or Local.
  2. Click the Special Calculations tab, select a state or locality from the list, and then click the Edit button.
  3. Mark the Whole dollar rounding checkbox.
  4. Click the Enter button to save your changes and then click the Done button to close the dialog.
