Important reminder!

Licenses for Payroll CS, Trial Balance CS, and Write-Up CS (but not Engagement CS) permanently expired on March 1, 2017. CSA will not include 2017 tax rates or payroll forms, so, for 2017 and beyond, you will need to process payroll in another application. We recommend Accounting CS Payroll and myPay Solutions. For more information, see the following topics.

The ELF Maintenance or State FSET Maintenance dialog enables you to verify your data prior to transmission. You can use this dialog to view any existing return, enrollment, or acknowledgement files and to delete selected files.

Acknowledgement files are clearly marked with either an A for Accepted or an R for Rejected, enabling you to verify that the file was accepted without opening it.

For 940/941/944 electronic filing: Choose Utilities > Payroll Tax Processing, and then either click the United States flag (940, 941, or 944) icon in the shortcut bar on the left or choose View > 940, 941, or 944. Next, choose File > ELF Utilities > ELF Maintenance. Or, from the Global Payroll Tax Processing window, choose File > 94x ELF > ELF Maintenance.

For state return electronic filing: Choose Utilities > Payroll Tax Processing, and then either click the appropriate state flag icon in the shortcut bar on the left or choose View > <state name>. Next, choose File > FSET Utilities > FSET Maintenance.

Note: The files listed in the ELF Maintenance dialog are for audit trail purposes only. Deleting files from this dialog will not prevent or reverse transmission. To remove a file before it is transmitted, use the Queue Maintenance dialog.
