The 941 supplemental information dialog allows you to easily enter supplemental information to assist you in preparing the Form 941.
Choose Payroll Tax Processing from the Utilities menu, and then click the United States flag (941) icon in the shortcut bar on the left or choose 941 from the View menu. Choose Supplemental Information from the Setup menu when the Form 941 displays.
Special information
If the Third-Party Designee checkbox is marked in this dialog, you can set up third-party designee information either globally or at the client level.
- Global third-party designee information. Mark the Third-Party Designee checkbox in Supplemental Information dialog. Next, choose Setup > Third-Party Designee from the Form 940 window and complete the related information to be used for any 940, 941, 943, 944, or 945 form when the Third-Party Designee checkbox is marked and client-level detail has not been specified.
- Client-level third-party designee information. Mark the Third-Party Designee checkbox in the Supplemental Information dialog and complete the related fields. (If any of the third-party designee fields are left blank, the application will use the information from the global Setup > Third-Party Designee dialog.)

- Apply overpayment to next return (checkbox)
- Final payroll date (enter the final payroll date if applicable to the selected client)
Mark either of the following checkboxes if applicable for the client.
- Semi-weekly depositor (checkbox). If not marked, the application assumes the client is a monthly depositor.
- Disregard deposit threshold when calc'ing line 16 (checkbox).
Specify the following information as applicable for the selected client.
- Calculate fractions of cents (checkbox). Mark this checkbox to have the application use the Fractions of cents field to make Line 10 equal to Line 16 or Schedule B, the total liability for the quarter.
Note: This calculation will not occur if the total tax liability is less than $2500.00.
- Threshold. If you marked the Calculate fractions of cents checkbox, enter the threshold amount in this field.
- Deposits for quarter. Specify the amount of total deposits for the current quarter.
If information already exists in this field, the application will use this amount for Line 11 of the form and will not override this amount with information from the Tasks > Vendor Checks dialog. If you prefer to use the Vendor Checks dialog, be sure that this field is blank.
- ELF explanation (for use with electronic filing transactions only).
To enable another person to discuss this return, mark the Third-Party Designee checkbox and enter the third-party designee's name, PIN, and phone number in the appropriate fields. If any of these fields are left blank, the application will use the information from the global Setup > Third-Party Designee dialog.
