The 944 Supplemental Information dialog allows you to easily enter supplemental information to assist you in preparing Form 944.

Choose Utilities > Payroll Tax Processing and then click the United States flag (944) icon in the shortcut bar on the left or choose View > 944. Choose Setup > Supplemental Information when Form 944 displays.

Note: To process Form 944, make certain you have chosen the 944 option on the Payroll tab of the File > Client Properties dialog.

Special information

If the Third-Party Designee checkbox is marked in this dialog, you can set up third-party designee information either globally or at the client level.

  • Global third-party designee information. Mark the Third-Party Designee checkbox in Supplemental Information dialog. Next, choose Setup > Third-Party Designee from the Form 940 window and complete the related information to be used for any 940, 941, 943, 944, or 945 form when the Third-Party Designee checkbox is marked and client-level detail has not been specified.
  • Client-level third-party designee information. Mark the Third-Party Designee checkbox in the Supplemental Information dialog and complete the related fields. (If any of the third-party designee fields are left blank, the application will use the information from the global Setup > Third-Party Designee dialog.)
