The Balance and Transaction Utilities dialog allows you to copy or move GL balances, budgets, and/or transactions from one or more periods to another period. It also allows you to delete balances, budgets and/or transactions from any previous period(s).
From the CSA main window, choose Utilities > Balance and Transaction Utilities.
Fields & buttons
Mark the checkbox(es) for the type(s) of data that you would like to process.
- Balances
- Budgets
- Transactions
Choose the type of action that you would like to perform on the data for the selected period(s). If you choose to copy or move the data, you must select a period from the drop-down list to which you would like copy or move the data.
- Copy to Period
The data for the selected period(s) remains in the original period and is copied to a different period
- Move to Period
The data for the selected period(s) does not remain in the original period. It is moved to the specified period.
- Delete
Deletes the data for the selected period(s).
Highlight the period(s) that you would like to process and click the Select button. There are as many periods available for processing as there are years of transactions saved.
Double-click the period(s) from which to copy or move or delete the balances, budgets, and/or transactions.
To accept the period(s) listed in the right-hand pane for the selected action, click the Continue button.
