Overview
Choose Help > Repair and then click the Client tab to rebuild your client list, to clean up a selected client database, to permanently remove records that have been marked for deletion, fix invalid records, and so forth.
From the CSA main window, choose Help > Repair. In the Repair dialog, click the Clients tab.
Note: If the client you want to open is not visible in the list pane of the Open Client dialog, click the Rebuild Client List button. This command rebuilds your client list for the data folder currently specified in the File Locations tab of the Setup > User Preferences dialog.

Fields & buttons
Shows the data folder currently specified in the File Locations tab of the Setup > User Preferences dialog.
Lists the client ID and name for each of your CSA clients.
You may click the Rebuild Client List button to refresh this entire list, or you may highlight a single client to compact or to decompress by using the buttons on this tab.
Enable client data compression. Marking this checkbox enables you to substantially decrease the amount of disk space required to store clients, but it will decrease the speed of opening and closing clients in CSA.
Uncompressed clients take up significantly more disk space (roughly 15 times more space) than compressed clients. Before choosing not to compress client data, make sure that you have plenty of free disk space.
Engagement CS
Compress/Secure engagement files. Marking this checkbox enables you to substantially decrease the amount of disk space required to store engagement documents, but it will decrease the speed of opening and closing clients in CSA and Engagement CS.
Compressed files are protected and can only be unzipped and uncompressed by CSA when the client is accessed. When compression is disabled, the files are no longer protected and are available to be viewed outside of CSA.
Uncompressed files take up significantly more disk space (roughly 15 times more space) than compressed files. Before choosing not to compress engagement files, make sure that you have plenty of free disk space.
Rebuild Client List button. Refreshes the client list shown both in this tab and in the File > Open Client dialog.
Rebuild Data Sharing button. Refreshes the data sharing information (if any) for all clients.
Compact Client button. Permanently removes records that have already been marked for deletion from the selected client database.
Decompress Client button. If you have enabled client data compression to save space on your hard drive, reverses the file compression for the selected client to enable you to open and close the client with greater speed.
Recreate button. Recreates the data files for the selected client(s).
Rebuild Data Sharing button. Deletes all data sharing files and rebuilds the current-period data sharing file (with general client data only).
Send Via CS Connect button. Enables you to transmit a copy of the data for the current CSA client to CS Support if you require assistance. (The client data is compressed into a ZIP file and placed in your WINCSI/CSASYS/UPLOAD folder for transmittal the next time you initiate a call via CS Connect.)
