Use the Print Checks dialog to verify or change the printer where your checks will be printed, to specify what type of checks to print, and to select the checkbook for which you wish to print checks.
When you are ready to print payroll checks (Payroll CS only) and/or vendor checks (Payroll CS or Vendor checkwriting), choose Print Checks from the File menu.
Note: If you have entered an amount in the Reminder Threshold field in the Address & Accounts tab of the Vendors window, the program will provide a warning prompt if the total amount for unprinted checks for this vendor reaches or exceeds that amount after payroll checks have been printed.

If you have included the variable Payroll check memo in the payroll layout for the current checkbook, you can enter the payroll check memo in this field so it will display for the current check run.
To add this variable to your employee check layout, choose Setup > System Configuration > Layout Editor, and then use the Check Layout window to modify the layout for the checkbook. The Payroll check memo variable is found within the list of Employee/Check variables.
Mark this checkbox and then click the Print button if you want to queue the employee payroll checks in this print job to be sent to the employee portals via CS Connect.
If you have not set up an employee's password, the default password is set to the employee's Social Security number in the Utilities > Web Employee Utilities > Password Setup dialog.
Mark this checkbox to have Payroll CS automatically open the Print dialog after checks have printed so that you may choose one or more reports to print.
Mark this checkbox if you want to create blank MICR checks.
When you click the Print button, the Enter Payroll Check Information dialog displays with the Blank MICR checks groupbox activated. The options there allow you to specify the number of blank MICR checks you want to print and whether or not to update the next check number for checks printed after the blank MICR checks.
Use the Check printing fee drop-down list to select the appropriate fee to apply for the current check run.
The field will default to the selection specified in the File > Client Properties dialog Calculating Payroll tab. If you want to use a different fee schedule for this check run, select it from the drop-down list.
Note: The selection in this field does not affect the selection in the Client Properties dialog.
