Accountant's Assistant is provided with the CBS Master License.
If you intend to transfer payroll information (payroll journal entries or payroll transactions) back to your client to update information in QuickBooks Pro, you may use this dialog to specify settings for those transfers.
From the Accountant's Assistant main window for QuickBooks, choose Setup > Generate Information.
Note: To obtain QuickBooks bank account information for the drop-down list in this dialog, be sure to retrieve the client's data from QuickBooks Pro at least once prior to transferring payroll information back to the client.

Fields & buttons
- To specify payroll journal entries for the transfer back to QuickBooks, click Summary. (This is the initial default setting for this dialog.)
- To specify individual checks for transfer of payroll information so the client can do bank reconciliations in QuickBooks, click Detail. (These payroll transactions will then be transferred as regular checks in QuickBooks.)
Note: Regardless of whether you select Summary or Detail, Accountant's Assistant uses summary journal entries to transfer any direct deposit amounts and assigns DirDep as the reference.
Accountant's Assistant uses P89 as the initial default reference, but you may change the reference as needed. (However, as noted above, DirDep is always used to denote direct deposit summary JEs.)
Accountant's Assistant uses 999 (or the Undistributed account) as the initial default account number for this field, but you may specify a different account by selecting it from the drop-down list for this field. This account is used when one or more payroll checks being transferred are set up with partial net pay and partial direct deposit amounts. The direct deposit amount of the check is credited to this account and then debited to the account included in the DirDep journal entry (resulting in a wash).
Specify the QuickBooks bank account associated with the payroll entries by selecting it from the drop-down list for this field. (The accounts available for selection in this field are retrieved into Acccountant's Assistant automatically when you retrieve the client's data from QuickBooks Pro.)
