Licenses for Payroll CS, Trial Balance CS, and Write-Up CS (but not Engagement CS) permanently expired on March 1, 2017. CSA will not include 2017 tax rates or payroll forms, so, for 2017 and beyond, you will need to process payroll in another application. We recommend Accounting CS Payroll and myPay Solutions. For more information, see the following topics.

The New Mexico Supplemental Information dialog allows you to enter additional information unique to the New Mexico form processing requirements.

Choose Utilities > Payroll Tax Processing and then either click the NM state flag icon on the shortcut bar or choose View > New Mexico. Choose Setup > Supplemental Information when the New Mexico payroll tax processing window is active.

Fields & buttons

General tab

Complete the following information as applicable for the selected client:

  • Field Code
  • Remitted (Full/None). Choose the appropriate option for the amount remitted.
  • Calculate interest/penalty. Mark this checkbox to have the program calculate the interest and penalty amounts based on the date entered in the Signature information group box. When this checkbox is marked, the Interest and Penalty fields are disabled.
  • Late report penalty (checkbox). Mark this checkbox if you expect to owe a penalty for filing late. (This checkbox is enabled only when the Calculate interest/penalty checkbox is marked.)
  • State UI Trust Fund Tax Rate (%). Enter the state unemployment insurance trust fund tax rate percentage here. The program calculates the UI Compensation Fund tax rate based on this percentage and the SUTA base rate entered in the Client Properties dialog.

Enter the following information:

  • Title
  • E-mail
  • Date. Enter the date signed by the preparer. The automatic calculation of interest and penalty is based on the date entered here.
  • Suppress date on forms. Marking this checkbox omits the signature date from all forms.

Withholding tab

Complete the following withholding information as applicable for the selected client:

  • Payment method. Select ACH deposit, Federal wire transfer, or Other from the drop-down list.
  • Filing frequency. Select your filing frequency from the drop-down list. Marking the Semi-annually option enables the 1st Half and 2nd Half options.
  • 1st Half or 2nd Half. Choose whether to retrieve data from the first or second half of the year.
  • Calculate penalty/interest. Mark this checkbox to have the program automatically calculate the penalty and interest amounts based on the date entered in the Signature Information group box.

Enter the appropriate amounts and figures in the applicable columns. If you enter three or fewer lines of information in the CRS grid, that information will flow to the Form CRS-1Short(p2). If you enter four or more lines, the information will flow to Form CRS-1(p2).
