The SDI and SUI tab of the State Tax Information dialog allows you to establish wage limits and tax rates for specified state taxes. The information is related to global setup information for after-the-fact payroll entry in the Payroll Compliance module.
Choose Setup > System Configuration > Payroll Tax Information > State.
Fields & buttons
Shows the name of the currently selected state or other jurisdiction.
Shows the effective date for the current tax values for the selected state or other jurisdiction (as specified on the General tab of the State Tax Information dialog).
Enter the SUTA wage limit for the selected state.
Wages x <percent> OR Hours x <amount> Choose either the Wages or the Hours option, as applicable for the selected state, and also enter either the percentage rate to apply or the dollar amount per hour to use for the SUI or SDI withholding calculation.
Annual wage limit <amount>. If you have selected the Wages option (above) and there is an annual wage limit, you also need to enter the state's annual wage limit amount for the SUI or SDI deduction.
Maximum annual tax <amount>. If applicable for the selected state, enter the calendar-year maximum dollar amount for the SUI or SDI deduction.
This button is available only when a state is currently selected that has a limit for workers compensation wages.
Click this button to open the Workers Compensation dialog, where you can specify Workers Compensation calculation limits for the selected state.
