To insert the unfiled document in the current engagement you must provide the following information on the Properties page of the Process Unfiled Document wizard:
- Workpaper Name
- Workpaper Reference
- Staff Assignment
- Roll Forward and Wrap Up treatment
Choose File > Process Unfiled Workpapers to open the Process Unfiled Document wizard. Select to Move, Replace, or leave the selected unfiled document unchanged, and then click the Next button to make further choices based on the option selected.
Fields & buttons
Enter the name of this document. This is the name Engagement CS will use to reference this document.
Enter a workpaper reference.
Note: This is a required field and must be unique within a single engagement.
Select a staff member's name from the drop-down list to assign responsibility for this document. You may also select the status of Unassigned to the document, and re-assign it a later time.
Select the roll forward treatment of the current document from the drop-down list:
- Include. If this option is selected, the workpaper will be wrapped up and included in both the final engagement and in the new engagement created during the roll forward process.
- Exclude. (Default option) If this option is selected, the workpaper will be flagged for deletion during the roll forward process. The Delete during Wrap Up checkbox will be enabled, and if it is checked, the workpaper will appear in the Workpaper Removal dialog and will be deleted upon completion of the wrap-up process.
Note: You can choose to override the command to exclude the workpaper from the new engagement created during the roll forward process in the Roll Forward wizard.
- Replace from selected engagement. Workpapers are replaced with another document in a selected engagement client on the Select Template Engagement page of the Roll Forward wizard when this option is selected.
- Replace from PPC Template. Workpapers are replaced with a PPC e-Practice Aid from an available PPC title.
Mark this checkbox if you want the program to delete this workpaper during the engagement wrap-up. If you select Include or Replace from the Roll Forward drop-down list, this checkbox will be unavailable (grayed out).
Notes
- If you want to mark the current worksheet for deletion during wrap-up at a later time, this checkbox is also available on the Workpaper Properties dialog Edit > Properties dialog.
- The Workpaper Removal page of the Wrap Up wizard will not appear during the wrap-up process if the Delete during Wrap Up checkbox has been left unmarked for all workpapers in the engagement.
