When exporting files from the application, they are initially saved on the myPay Solutions Direct server. Follow these steps to save the files to your local hard drive for importing and processing.

  1. Choose File > Copy Files.
  2. In the File type field, select the file type to copy from the server.
  3. Click the Browse button next to the File(s) to copy field.
  4. In the Open dialog, search for and select the folder or file to copy, and then click the Open button.

Note: When you export payroll journal entries, the application creates a separate export file for each client and names the files using the filing naming format: Trans.<CLIENTID> - PR<MMDDYY>.xml. If the Include client name in the file name checkbox is marked in the Export Options dialog, the export file uses the format: Trans.<CLIENTNAME> - <CLIENTID> - PR<MMDDYY>.xml

  5. Click the Browse button next to the Copy to field. Specify the location to save the copied files. You can create a new folder or select an existing folder from the tree view.

We recommend that you use a file location on the V:\ drive. myPay Solutions payroll system uses the V:\ file location to identify and connect with your local C:\ drive.

  6. Click OK to close the Browse For Folder dialog.
  7. Click OK in the Copy Files dialog to copy the files to the specified location.
