Uppercase information in UltraTax CS Data Shares with Practice CS

If you choose to enter client information in UltraTax CS in all upper case capital letters but mixed case in Practice CS, you may get prompted to Data Share every time you open a client in either Practice CS or UltraTax CS. Follow the steps below to ignore capitalization differences.

  1. In UltraTax CS go to Setup then Office Configuration. 
  2. Go to the Data Sharing tab.
  3. Check the Ignore capitalization differences in data share box.
  4. Select OK.

Additionally, there is a setting in UltraTax CS where all tax forms and reports will print in upper case, regardless of how you entered it.

  1. In UltraTax go to Setup then Office Configuration.
  2. Go to the Print Options tab.
  3. Check the Print client data in capital letters box.
  4. Select OK.

This will cause UltraTax CS to print client information in all uppercase letters on forms and reports even if it is entered in mixed case.
