Internal only

If the above steps do not resolve the issue, you can send the license files to the firm Licensee. Sending the licenses is likely a temporary solution - they will have the licenses they need now, but may have issues updating/installing licenses in the future.

  1. Create a folder on your desktop. It doesn't matter what you name it, but the firm will see this name.
  2. Open EMS, enter the Firm ID in the upper-left corner and hit ENTER.
  3. Choose Applications > Licenses > Daily Licensing.
  4. Choose the Select location option.
  5. Uncheck Print labels
  6. From the Type drop-down, choose UltraTax CS.
  7. From the Year drop-down select the version of the program they are trying to install licenses for.
  8. Click the Browse button and choose the folder you created in step 1.
  9. Click the Begin Licensing Process button.
  10. On the next window, click the Create License Disk button.
  11. When you get the message that the license disk has been created, click OK.
  12. Open the folder on your desktop to confirm that there are license files there.
  13. Right-click the folder and choose Send to > Compressed (zipped) folder.
  14. Create a Secure Data Exchange for the firm Licensee using the instructions in Internal: Using MKT for Secure Data Exchange.
  15. Upload the .zip folder to the Secure Data Exchange for the firm Licensee.
  16. The customer must download the folder, right-click it and choose Extract All. Then, copy and paste the files in the folder into the appropriate folder in WinCSI\LICENSES.
