While installing UltraTax CS or Fixed Assets CS on a terminal server, you might see a Windows Installer Coordinator dialog that states "Please wait while the application is preparing for the first use". The window may get stuck or appear repeatedly. This is a known issue that is caused by the incompatibility with the Embedded MSI technology and the Windows Installer Coordinator.

To disable this policy, follow the steps below:

1. Open the Windows Start button and search for gpedit.msc.
2. Navigate to Computer Configuration > Administrative Templates > Windows Components > Remote Desktop Services > Remote Desktop Session Host > Application Compatibility.
3. In the right pane, choose Turn off Windows Installer RDS Compatibility.
4. Choose Edit from the drop-down menu.
5. Click the Enable radio button.
6. Click OK.
