CS Connect dialog

Alerts and notices

Use the CS Connect dialog to place an immediate call to our secure data centers, to schedule an unattended call, or to apply updates.

To open this dialog, choose File > CS Connect .

Fields & buttons

Click this option to place a call to our secure data centers and perform the actions marked in the Purpose of this call section of this dialog.

Click this option to install any pending FileCabinet CS updates.

Note: This option is available only if you have downloaded FileCabinet CS application updates using CS Connect and have not applied the updates.

Click this option if you want to place an immediate call to our secure data centers.

Click this option to schedule an unattended call to our secure data centers.

If you choose this option, use the date and time fields to select the month, day, and time you want CS Connect to call or to apply available updates. After you complete these fields, click the Begin Countdown button to have CS Connect contact our secure data centers at the specified time.

If you click the Later option, use these fields to select the month, day, and time you want CS Connect to call or to apply available updates. After you complete these fields, click the Begin Countdown button to have CS Connect contact our secure data centers at the specified time.

Mark this checkbox to retrieve available application updates during the next call.

Note: If this checkbox is not marked, CS Connect will not download the most recent FileCabinet CS updates.

This list of pending updates displays when you click the Apply updates option. Click the Apply Updates button to apply the updates in this list.

Note: The Apply updates option is available only if you have downloaded FileCabinet CS updates using CS Connect and have not applied the updates.

Mark this checkbox to retrieve the latest FileCabinet CS licenses. This is necessary only if you have recently updated your firm's license information by calling Customer Service (to change the firm address or purchase a new application, for example).

This checkbox is marked if you are licensed for NetFirm CS and you have selected FileCabinet CS documents for transmittal to NetClient CS.

Click this button to select FileCabinet CS drawers for transmittal to NetClient CS.

This checkbox is marked if you are licensed for source-document processing and you have selected image groups for data extraction and page naming.

Click this button to select FileCabinet CS drawers for source-document processing.

Mark this checkbox to retrieve files with extracted OCR data.

Click this button to manage communication settings for transmitting and receiving electronic files with your CS Professional Suite application.

This field shows the selected method for connecting to our secure data centers. To change the selected method, click the Communications button.

Click this button to place a call to our secure data centers and perform the actions marked in the Purpose of this call section.

Note: When applicable, the name of this button changes to "Apply Updates" or "Begin Countdown."
