Use this dialog to set calculation options for custom or state treatments.
To open this dialog, open the Asset List window or Asset Detail dialog, choose Setup > Treatments, and in the Treatments dialog do one of the following steps.
- For an existing custom or state treatment, select the treatment and click the Options button.
- For a new custom or state treatment, click the Add button.
Fields & buttons
Click this option to set up the current treatment to calculate depreciation for a state. Use the corresponding drop-down list to choose the state for which this treatment column will calculate depreciation.
Click this option to set up the current treatment to calculate state AMT depreciation amounts. Use the corresponding drop-down list to choose the state for which this treatment column will calculate AMT depreciation.
Note: This option is not available unless the current client is calculating depreciation for at least one state.
Click this option to set up the current treatment to calculate state ACE depreciation amounts. Use the corresponding drop-down list to choose the state for which this treatment column will calculate ACE depreciation.
Note: This option is not available unless the current client is calculating depreciation for at least one state.
Click this option to set up the current treatment to calculate depreciation using the straight-line method for Pennsylvania.
Note: This option is available only if the client's entity type is an S Corporation or a Partnership.
Click this option to set up the current treatment to calculate using the 30% bonus for New Jersey when the Tax treatment is also calculating 30% for tax years after 1/01/04.
Note: This option is available only for 1065, 1120S, and 1041 clients.
Click this option to have the treatment automatically calculate for AMT based on amounts entered for any treatment that is not being derived from another treatment. Use the corresponding drop-down list to choose the treatment on which you want to base the automatic calculation of the current treatment.
Click this option to have the treatment automatically calculate for ACE based on amounts entered for any treatment that is not being derived from another treatment. Use the corresponding drop-down list to choose the treatment on which you want to base the automatic calculation of the current treatment.
Click this option to set up the current treatment to calculate depreciation for New York City.
Click this option to automatically transfer amounts from the Tax column to the E&P column, and thereby calculate depreciation for earnings and profits.
Click this option if you do not want the current treatment to calculate based on any other treatment.
