Mass Disposition dialog

Use this dialog to record any of the following:

  • Sale of multiple assets for one sale price.
  • Like-kind exchange of multiple assets for one asset.
  • Disposal of multiple assets by the Out of Service or Retired method.

Note: You cannot dispose of Section 1245 assets by using like-kind exchange after 12/31/17.

To open this dialog, open the Asset List window and do one of the following:

  • Choose Tasks > Mass Disposition.
  • Click the Mass Disposition button in the Asset List window.

List of mass dispositions

Displays a description and other information for existing mass dispositions.

Description

Displays the name of the selected mass disposition. This description prints on the disposals report.

Note: To edit the name of an existing mass disposition, highlight an item in the list, click the Edit button, edit the name in this field, and then click the Enter button.

Select Assets button

Click this button to open the Select Assets dialog in which you can modify the selection of specific assets that belong to the current mass disposition.

Note: This button is available only after you highlight a mass disposition and click the Edit button. After making your selections in the Select Assets dialog and clicking OK, click the Enter button in the Mass Disposition dialog to save your changes.

Enter Disposal Information button

Click this button to open the Disposal tab, in the Enter Disposal Information dialog, in which you can enter the type of disposal, date of disposal, and other information.

Note: This button is available only after you highlight a mass disposition and click the Edit button. After entering the information in the Disposal tab and clicking OK, click the Enter button in the Mass Disposition dialog to save your changes.
