To dispose of an asset and have it not reported on Form 4797, follow the steps to Enter disposal information for one asset or Enter a mass asset disposition, which state that after you select the Sold/Scrapped disposal method (on the Disposal tab or in the Disposal Wizard), select Not reported on Form 4797 from the Type of property field.
