Fixed Assets CS: Clients missing or not listed on Open Client dialog

If not all clients are listed when choosing File > Open Client, first check the Focus area of the Open Client dialog and verify that all of the entity checkboxes are marked (1040, 1120, etc.). Also verify that the Event field reads All clients, regardless of status. If the client is still not available, make sure the correct data location is listed at the top of the Open Client dialog. If the client is still not available follow the steps below.

  1. Close the Open Client dialog.
  2. Choose Help > Repair and click the Rebuild Client List button.
  3. After the process completes see if the client is available when choosing File > Open Client.

If the client is still not available then it must be restored from a backup.
