The users who can perform any of the following tasks can be limited to only those who know a master password.
- Modifying application security settings in the Setup > System Configuration > Security tab.
- Adding, modifying, or deleting client data locations, or transferring configurable files between data locations in the Setup > System Configuration > Data Locations tab.
- Modifying settings regarding the backup of Fixed Assets CS client data to FileCabinet CS in the Setup > System Configuration > FileCabinet CS tab.
- Modifying the number of years of depreciation data that are retained when closing to a new period in the Setup > System Configuration > Connect + Options tab.
- Modifying template information in the Setup > System Configuration > Template tab.
- Modifying a state's bonus depreciation calculation and the section 179 limitations in the Setup > State Calculations dialog.
- Modifying the settings for the Method/Life Wizard in the Setup > Method/Life Wizard dialog.
- Rebuilding the client database, clearing network locks, and creating a license disk via Help > Repair.
- Sending client data, custom methods, and custom reports via email using the File > Send to Email Recipient command.
- Changing one client to a different processing period via the File > Select Period to Process command.
- Closing multiple clients to a new processing period via the File > Mass Select Period to Process command.
- Deleting and renaming clients.
- Accessing certain items in the Fixed Assets CS Home Page.
- Creating or modifying custom reports in the Setup > Custom Reports dialog.
- Viewing client information and status reports in the Utilities > Client Listings dialog.
- Overriding data in calculated fields.
- Assigning client passwords and other restricting access to client data.
