If your firm uses multiple data locations, you can maintain separate configurable items such as asset labels, import maps, custom methods, custom reports, and state calculations. If you want to share the configurable items between data locations, complete the following steps.

  1. Choose Setup > System Configuration.
  2. Click the Data Locations tab.
  3. Click the Transfer Configurable Files button.

    Note: This button is available only if multiple data locations have been specified.

  4. In the Transfer Configurable Files dialog, choose the location that contains the files you want to share from the Source location drop-down list.
  5. In the Destination location field, choose the location to which you will copy the files.
  6. In the Configurable items list, mark the checkbox to the left of each type of item you want to copy.
  7. Click the Transfer button.

When all files have been copied, you will receive a message stating that the transfer is complete.
