Adding or modifying custom links in the Fixed Assets CS Home Page

Fixed Assets CS allows you to create your own list of links to websites, files, and folders that are displayed in the left pane of the Fixed Assets CS Home Page. To add or modify custom links, perform the following steps.

  1. Choose Setup > User Preferences and click the Miscellaneous tab.
  2. Click the Custom Links button.
  3. In the Custom Links dialog, perform one of the following steps.

    • To create a new link, click the Add button.
    • To modify an existing link, highlight a link in the list and click the Edit button.
  4. Enter a name or description for the custom link.
  5. Do one of the following tasks.

    • To link to a web-based resource, click the Web URL option and enter the URL or path in the field.
    • To link to a file on your computer or network, click the File option and either enter the path in the field, or click the button to the right of the field, navigate to the file, and click the Open button.
  6. Click the Enter button to save the new or modified link.
  7. Click OK.
