Fixed Assets CS
When you enter assets, the application automatically assigns the next available asset number higher than any other number within the activity. Perform the steps in this procedure to have the application automatically assign the lowest available number rather than the next available number. For example, if an asset is reassigned or disposed, the application will reuse that asset's number and assign it to a new asset when the number is the lowest available number.
Note: This procedure changes the automatic numbering of assets for all clients, not just the open client.
- Choose Setup > User Preferences.
- In the Miscellaneous tab, clear the Assign asset numbers in the sequence assets are entered checkbox.
- Click OK.
