Applying group document security

You can apply group document security to control access to specific documents based on their index values. To apply group document security, follow these steps.

  1. Choose Administration > Manage Users & Groups from the GoFileRoom toolbar and click the Group Document Security tab.
  2. Select a group, fileroom, and drawer.
  3. Click the Allow Access, Deny Access, or No Edit option.
  4. Select a field from the list of Index fields.
  5. Enter a value of the Index field into the field next to the Add button. You can use wildcards and lookup fields.
  6. Click the Add button. The entered value is added to the list of values, displayed in the box on the right of the list of Index fields.
  7. Click Save.

An Allow Access permission is also an implicit deny permission for any indexes not specified as allowed. Conversely, the deny permission is also an implicit allow permission for unspecified indexes.
