If you have administrative privileges, you can manage access to drawers and documents in GoFileRoom.

To access GoFileRoom administrative features, choose Administration > Manage Users & Groups from the GoFileRoom toolbar.

You can assign permissions to individual users; however we recommend that you assign all privileges at the group level for ease and efficiency.

Groups are maintained in the Administration > Manage Users & Groups > Groups tab and enable you to manage the following:


  • Some groups are set up automatically based on your firm’s GoFileRoom implementation.
  • Permissions that you set at the user level will override any related permissions that you set at the group level.
  • User-level permissions are more restrictive than related group-level permissions.
