Specifying locations for the GoFileRoom Upload Documents service

If your firm uses a centralized network server for Outlook email messages stored in GoFileRoom or modified PDFs, or if your firm uses multiple ScanFlow scan stations, administrators can specify the mapped (UNC) path to the GoFileRoom Upload Documents Service "UploadDocuments" shared folder.

Note: The folder that is specified will have to be shared for all users on your network.

To specify the UNC path and shared folder for the Upload Documents service, follow these steps.

  1. Choose Administration > Manage Configurations from the GoFileRoom toolbar and then click the Locations tab.
  2. To add a location, click the Add button.
  3. Enter the location name and the UNC path to the "UploadDocuments" shared folder.
  4. Choose the Default option to specify the default location where "unassigned" users will send their documents.
  5. Click the Save button.


  • Each user and group can be assigned to a different location. Administrators can specify the upload location assignments in the User and Groups tabs in the Manage Users and Groups screen.
  • If no location is specified for a user account, the default location will be used in cases where a client-side component is configured to use a network path.
  • If a location is specified in the Locations tab, at least one default location must also be selected.
