You can easily add, change, or delete delivery instructions for a workflow using the delivery instructions tab. Delivery instructions include delivery methods, the delivery destination, whether the source documents are to be returned, and any additional instructions necessary to complete the engagement.

To work with delivery instructions, from the FirmFlow - My Work screen, click a workflow and then click the Delivery Instructions tab.

Adding delivery instructions

To add delivery instructions:

  1. Select a delivery method from the Delivery Method field.
  2. Select a destination from the Destination field.
  3. Mark the Return Source Documents checkbox to return the source documents to the indicated delivery destination. This signifies that the original client source documents (W2s, 1099s, etc.) should be returned to the client along with the tax return.
  4. If desired, add delivery notes.

Changing delivery instructions

To change delivery instructions:

  1. Click the Delivery Instructions tab.
  2. Select different instructions using the drop-down list(s) in the Delivery Method and Destination fields.
  3. Mark or clear the Return Source Docs checkbox.

Note: All FirmFlow notes (including delivery notes) can not be changed. The user would have to delete or close the note and add a new one in order to obtain the equivalent result.

Deleting Delivery Instructions

To delete delivery instructions:

  1. Click the Delivery Instructions tab.
  2. Select the blank entry in the drop-down list(s) in the Delivery Method or Destination fields.
  3. Clear the Return Source Docs checkbox.

You may delete Delivery Notes by selecting the note, clicking on the Option menu, and choosing Delete Note(s).
