The following setup and installation procedures are mandatory for proper use of GoFileRoom.

Administrators should perform each procedure in the following order for each workstation from which GoFileRoom will be accessed.

To set up each GoFileRoom workstation, you must do the following.

You can use group policy to push these updates out to all of your workstations automatically. For details, see Using Group Policy to deploy GoFileRoom Add-in updates.

You must set gofileroom.com as a trusted site to alleviate extra security prompts when accessing GoFileRoom documents.

  1. Click the Tools Tools menu icon menu in the upper-right of your browser, choose Internet Options, and then click the Security tab.
  2. Click the Trusted sites icon and then click the Sites button.
  3. Clear the Require server verfication for all sites in this zone checkbox.

Note: You cannot add trusted sites while this checkbox is marked.

  4. Enter https://*gofileroom.com in the Add this website to the zone field, click the Add button.
  5. Mark the Require server verfication for all sites in this zone checkbox and then click Close.
  6. Click the Custom level button.
  7. Select Low from the Reset to drop-down list and click the Reset button.
  8. In the Settings group box, scroll down to the Display mixed content area and click the Enable option.
  9. Click OK.

If you are accessing GoFileRoom through Windows Internet Explorer 10, you must turn on Compatibility View by clicking the Compatibility View Compatibility View button button in the address bar.

Verify your pop-up blocker settings for Internet Explorer 10 (or earlier) by following these steps.

  1. Choose Tools > Internet Options > Privacy tab. If the menu bar is not present, click the Tools Tools menu icon menu in the upper-right of your browser.
  2. Under the Pop-up Blocker section, click Settings.
  3. Enter https://www.gofileroom.com/ in the Address of website to allow field.
  4. Click Add and then click Close.

Set your compatibility view settings for GoFileRoom.

  1. In Internet Explorer, choose Tools > Compatibility View settings. If the menu bar is not present, click the Tools Tools menu icon menu in the upper-right of your browser.
  2. Enter gofileroom.com in the Add this website field.
  3. Click Add and then click Close.

You may find your GoFileRoom experience improved if the standard view settings are used. To verify and/or configure these settings, do the following.

  1. In Internet Explorer, choose View > Text size > Medium.
  2. Choose View > Zoom > 100%.
  3. Choose View > Encoding > Western European (Windows).
