Single sign-on authentication for CS Professional Suite applications

Show expandable text

An enhancement enabling single sign-on (SSO) authentication is now available for all your CS Professional Suite desktop applications. The required application updates containing this feature were released between January 10 and January 16, 2017.

What is single sign-on authentication?

  • Log in once for the whole CS Professional Suite: After logging in to one CS Professional Suite application, you will be automatically logged in to other CS Professional Suite applications that you open during that session. For example, if you log in to UltraTax CS and then open FileCabinet CS, you won't be prompted for your username and password to access FileCabinet CS.
  • Logging in after timeout will restore access to all CS applications: If you have multiple CS Professional Suite applications open and they time out after 30 minutes of inactivity, you only have to sign in to one CS application. The other applications will now restore your access automatically, rather than prompting you to sign back in to each application after the 30 minute timeout period.

When was this enhancement released?

Due to the nature of this enhancement, each CS Professional Suite application needed to release an update to enable single sign-on for that application.

  • The 2016.2.1 version of UltraTax CS was released with this change on January 10, 2017.
  • The remaining updates to CS Professional Suite applications were released between January 11 and January 16, 2017.
  • After you download and install these updates for each of your CS Professional Suite applications, you will no longer be required to log in to each CS Professional Suite application separately.
