Renaming personal or shared File Exchange folders

Note: When you rename a File Exchange folder, the folder is renamed for all NetClient CS users.

  1. You can rename File Exchange folders from the following locations in NetFirm CS administration.

    Note: If you don’t see the links that are specified in this step, you don’t have access to these areas.

    Location Actions
    NetClient CS user permissions. In the Admin tab of the navigation pane, click the Users link in the NetClient CS section and select any user.
    NetClient CS groups In the Admin tab of the navigation pane, click the Groups link in the NetClient CS section and select any group.
    NetStaff CS user permissions In the Admin tab of the navigation pane, click the Users link in the NetStaff CS section and select any user.
    NetStaff CS groups In the Admin tab of the navigation pane, click the Groups link in the NetStaff CS section and select any group.
  2. In the Permissions section, click the Enable button for File Exchange.
  3. In the Folder Types pane, click the type (Personal or Shared) of the folder you want to rename.

    The full list of personal or shared folders displays in the Available Folders pane.

    Tip: Enter any part of the folder name in the Find field to locate a specific folder.

  4. Click the folder you want to rename, and enter the new name.
  5. Press Enter.
