It depends on the type of folder to which the file was uploaded.

  • Temporary folders. A clock appears on the icons Temporary folder icon for folders that are temporary. NetStaff CS deletes files 14 days after they are uploaded to temporary folders.
  • Permanent folders. A lock appears on the icons Permanent folder icon for folders that are permanent. NetStaff CS does not delete files from permanent folders.

For more information, see File Exchange overview.

Yes.

The difference between full and read-only access is:

  • NetStaff CS users with permissions set to All have access to all folders, plus the ability to create new folders, upload and view files, and delete files and folders. NetStaff CS users with Selected permissions are allowed to view and upload files only.
  • NetClient CS users with full access can view and upload files. Those with read-only access can only view files.

You can upload files of up to 2 gigabytes (GB). When uploading multiple files, each file can be up to 2 GB.

The duration of a download or upload depends on the size of the file and the speed of your internet connection. To minimize the duration, consider reducing the size of your files by using compressed ZIP files. It might also help to download or upload files early in the morning or late in the evening to avoid high volumes of internet traffic that might affect your internet service provider. Also, if you are using a modem, consider upgrading to a DSL, cable modem, or T1 connection.

Delete your temporary internet files or cache files and then try to view the files again. For detailed information, see Deleting temporary internet files or cached files.

If you are typing the file name, make sure the location and name are correct, or browse to the file by clicking the Select Files button.
