GoSystem Tax RS: Sending returns to NetClient CS portals

Setup in GoSystem Tax RS

  1. Navigate to Administrative Functions > Firm Configuration > General Options in the GoSystem RS browser.

    Note: You must have administrator rights to see this option.

  2. Click the Retrieve NetClient CS Account button to retrieve the Firm ID - GST Code mapping for the corresponding firm. If the Retrieve NetClient CS Account button is disabled, the account info has already been retrieved.
  3. After retrieving the NetClient CS Account, you will be prompted to retrieve the list of active NetClient CS users.
  4. Mark Enable NetClient CS Integration, and click Enter.

Uploading a return to NetClient CS

  1. Navigate to Return Processing > Print > NetClient CS.
  2. Select the corresponding Account and Year, and click Continue.

    Note: This feature is available only for 1040 returns starting with tax year 2010 and later.

  3. Select the corresponding NetClient CS user from the drop-down list for each return you want to upload, mark the checkbox in the Select column, and click Submit.

    Note: Returns must be opened and computed before they can be selected for upload.

  4. Following the submission process, you will be prompted with a NetClient Upload screen and a Batch number.
  5. When the PDF upload process is complete, the NetClient CS user(s) will receive an email notification with instructions on how to access a copy of their return via NetClient CS portal.

NetClient CS Batch Status

The batch status is used to verify that a return has been transmitted to the portal. "Print File Uploaded" means that the return was successfully transmitted to the portal.

  1. Navigate to Return Processing > Print > NetClient CS > Batch Status
  2. Enter a date in the From field and the To field (if necessary), and click Continue.
  3. You will see a list of batches for the range. Click the hyperlink in the Batch ID column to determine the status of that job.

Adding NetClient CS Users

  1. Click the Add button in the NetClient CS Users screen.
  2. Enter information in the required fields (First Name, Last Name, and Email).
  3. Click Update.

Editing NetClient CS Users

Click the Edit button to modify the first name, last name, or email address of an existing NetClient CS user.

Note: Changes made here are automatically reflected in NetFirm Administration.

Sync NetClient Users

Click the Sync NetClient CS Users button to sync GoSystem Tax RS with the active NetClient CS user list from NetFirm CS. The synched list will reflect any users added or deleted via NetFirm CS as well as any updates to first name, last name, login, and email address.

Cleanup of Tax Documents

Tax Documents sent to NetClient CS from GoSystem Tax RS can be cleaned up by following the steps listed below.

  1. Log in to a NetStaff CS account.
  2. Click the Administration button.
  3. Navigate to Utilities > Cleanup > GoSystem Tax Documents.
  4. Mark the checkbox for the client documents you want to delete.
  5. Click the Delete Clients button.
  6. Click OK in the dialog that opens to confirm your selection.

    Note: This feature will only delete the tax documents for the corresponding client(s) and has no impact on any data stored in GoSystem Tax RS.
