Use the Add / Remove States dialog to either add or remove states in the open tax plan.

Note: A plan cannot contain more than one resident state, but can contain an unlimited number of nonresident states.

To open this dialog, open a plan and choose Edit > Add/Remove States.

When you remove a state module from a tax plan, you lose all information entered at the state level for that particular state. For this reason, you may want to archive the plan before removing a state. See Backing up data for more information.
